When I first played Cake Mania 1 & 2 I liked it. That game is fun and even though I’m not good at multi-tasking I can still keep up and have some nice score. But Cake Mania series is improved by adding special traits to customers, and by “traits” I mean “troubles”. First it was pretty simple, they took your money on the counter if you didn’t take it fast enough. Then the later version made a new kind of customer that forced you to server them first, even if they were the last ones in the line. After that they were changed, making the customers before them stun for a short time and of course you couldn’t deliver the goods while they were stunned. In Cake Mania 4, all of those types are frequent customers with a new one, when they appear, all of the customers before them are turned into another kinds and their orders are resetted, which means you have to remake everything.
Imagine this, you finished the cakes for customer A, he had 3 hearts left, and before you delivered, customer B appeared and freezed customer A. You put the cakes down, made a new cake for customer B while waiting for customer A. When customer A came back to normal, he had 2 hearts left and you hurriedly took the cake to him but POOF!, customer C appeared and resetted both A and B’s orders. And that is one of the better situations. From Cake Mania 3, the customers often come in a pair, each of them order 2 things, so expect to have 4 customers stunned at a time on a daily basic with their goods waiting for them on your hands.
Anyway, with Cake Mania 4, I hit my limit. I finished the main part of the game with expert scores but I never want to touch it again. My head felt like it was going to explode sometimes. Cake Mania 5 was released a few days ago, I was about to download it then I remembered the nightmare and stopped.

That was a dramatic holiday season!
Delicious Emily is the same type of games with Cake Mania, you make stuff the customers oder, deliver it before they get angry, take money, upgrade your store with the money and continue. The main difference between the 2 games is, Delicious Emily use diversity as the main attraction, I’ve only played the 4 and 5 version, there is no difference in difficulty. But there are a lot of differences in scenarios. Delicious Emily is about Emily’s adventure so she works at many places, sells many things including shoes, stuffed bears, candy, flowers, candles, beef steak. Also Emily’s main mission is helping other people so there are many side quests in each scenario. You can say the story line is pretty cliche but it’s fun and especially since it’s game, it doesn’t become lame like a tv drama. And omg the stores are awesome *__* They are typical but give off a nostalgic, warm feelings and are super cute > <
In short, I love Delicious Emily series and I want more. GameHouse better make a new one soon x-(
